Gates of Destiny
There are two gates of destiny in this world, or well two that the life forms of Earth are aware of. One Gate is of Light, said to have been created in Heaven and sent down to Earth in order to support the Angels and give them power. The Other Gate is of Darkness and is said to ahve been forged in Hell, sent to Earth in Order to give power to the Demons. The Gates are pathways to each side, allowing the traffic of spirits from both sides to occupy the body of a living human and thus give that body the pwoers of a demon or angel. Because of this, if a Demon or Angel dies then the soul is simply reborn inside a new body.
The gate also continues to feed off energy, thus giving the angels and demons their source of power. Though it also effects the environment around the gates. Around the Gate of Life you have happiness, cheer and joy, you have a nice warm sun and a cool breeze, flowers, green grass and large and healthy trees. With the Gate of Darkness you have dead grass and a hard ground, dead plants and trees, you have dry and humid atmosphere, and a rather unpleasant mood storming around.
From birth the child's fate is already been sealed if they obtain the power of a demon or angel, though all the way up to age 17 they can choose to use their powers how every they like. Once they hit the age of 18 though then they must abid by the rules of their kind and must keep doing so and must also meet the requirments or they lose their powers by the age of 19.
Demon Rules: Must never fall in love with a Slave or an Angel, can only fall in love with another demon. At least once a month you must do a blood sacrifice, that is use a sacrificial blade of the demons and use it to draw blood from a human and drink the blood. The target whose blood you drink does not need to be killed, which is why some Demons choose to keep slaves, its easier that way to obtain blood each month.
Angel Rules: Must never fall in love with a demon or a human who is a great sinner. Must fall in love with another angel or a pure human. At least once a month you must save or help a spirit in some way, you must use your powers for good and try to stop the demons.
If a gate is closed and destroyed, it cuts off the path and power supply, it cuts off the flow of energy. Thus is why each race is after the location of the others gate so they can stop the other races source of power and take them out and thus claim the Earth for themselves. If the Gate of Light is destroyed, then all Angels lose their powers and are cut off from Heaven and become humans, and the same goes for Demons if the Gate of Darkness is destroyed. Each Gate is hidden by the current leader of the race and only that leader knows. The two academies are said to be built around the gates themselves in order to hide and protect them. The leader of each race is selected by whoever is the greatest of that race, thus the leader can change from time to tiem if one surpasses another, all they have to do is defeat the current leader in a fight and they learn the hiding place of the Gate and are given the responsibility to hide it somewhere else and defend it.
So now the fight begins, it continues, and looks for an end. The battle field is Earth as Demons and Angels fight for control and influence over the planet and its people. Angels living peacefully amongst the humans in order to help them and protect them. Demons are the other hand live it large and do not care if humans are dragged into other wordly matters. The outcome of this long and giant war is unknown, but it is known that it will not stop or come to a draw until at least one side fails and the other prevails...it will not be over until one Gate of Destiny is crushed and the other is the only path left to take on the long and hard road of life. Which will you support?
